Santa Margarida Beach

This beach is just 500 meters away from the campsite. It has a rescue service, it’s easily accessible and you’ll find marine activities for all ages.

Santa Margarida is a shallow water beach, making it a good option for families with kids. Besides, there you will find all the necessary services and a varied choice of cuisine. Just alongside the beaches you can go for a stroll along the promenade, always lively both by day and by night.

Platja Nova and Canyelles Petites Beach

Platja Nova is the biggest beach in the Bay of Roses, and is approximately 450 meters long, with fine sand and clean, shallow waters. It’s one of the most crowded beaches because of its good location – it offers a fine view of the bay – and that’s why it provides services for everybody, toilets, tourist office and a children’s playground.

Just a little further there’s Canyelles Petites Beach, which is a magnificent cove, protected from the Tramontane wind and less urbanized, and even though it’s slightly remote, it provides services like bars, restaurants, rentals, etc. The Camí de Ronda seaside route starts here.

L’Almadrava (Canyelles Grosses)

Following the Camí de Ronda path we reach l’Almadrava (or Canyelles Grosses). It is a great beach, with ½ km long and 25m wide, all sandy. It is one of the most popular beaches of Roses for its crystalline water. You can arrive there by car or on foot. It is protected from the north wind and offers services such as restaurant, kayaks renting, etc.

Cala Montjoi and Cala Jòncols

The coves are small bays or coastal inlets which were used to take boats into and out of the water. These charming corners are small and protected from the motion of the waves and from the elements. In Roses both Cala Monjoi and Cala Jòncols are well renowned. In the first, the seabed shelves steeply, so it’s perfect for diving. Cala Monjoi is wide, it’s 12 km away from Roses and hosts El Bulli, the famous restaurant of Ferran Adria.

Just a little further there’s Cala Jòncols. It’s 18 km from Roses and is located in a very quiet area surrounded by big rocks, where you’ll find a pebble beach. It’s ideal for divers and it has a bar/restaurant.

ROSES

Almadrava

Camping Rodas is located in Roses, an emblematic town, which was conquered by Greek colonists who called it Rhodes, in honor of the Greek island. We decided to call our campsite “Càmping Rodas”, as a tribute to the origins of the city.

Roses is excellently located. On the East it’s surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and hosts a beautiful bay (also called Gulf of Roses), a must on the Costa Brava. In the North there is Cap de Creus Natural Park, a protected area whose natural beauty has charmed many, among them Dalí himself. To the West, there is Figueres – where you’ll find Dalí’s Museum – which is well connected to Barcelona and France. To the South, in addition to the Gulf of Roses there are many wonderful landscapes and ancient monuments, such as Sant Pere de Rodes Abbey, Sant Pere Pescador, Empuriabrava, etc.

The best place to spend your holidays and enjoy the beauty of the Costa Brava is, without doubt, Roses.
